Derui – Furniture Testing Equipment Manufacturer

Derui supplies table and desk testing equipment for manufacturers and laboratories evaluating structural loads or tipping stability. Select the DR-J701 static-load or DR-J702 stability direction according to the required procedure, specimen geometry and measurement needs.

Table & Desk Types Tested

  • Office desks and work tables
  • Height-adjustable and sit-stand desks
  • Dining and household tables
  • Conference and meeting tables
  • Institutional and commercial tables

Common Table & Desk Tests

  • Vertical static load testing
  • Horizontal static load testing
  • Horizontal fatigue and durability testing
  • Vertical cyclic durability testing
  • Stability and overturning evaluation
  • Tabletop deflection measurement

Typical Standards

  • EN 1730 — Table and desk stability, strength, and durability test methods

  • ISO 19682 — Table and desk stability, strength, and durability test methods
  • ANSI/BIFMA X5.5 — Commercial desk and table product tests

Application Areas

Choose Table Load Testing or Stability Evaluation

Select table and desk testing equipment by the question your procedure asks. Structural load testing examines the response to prescribed forces; stability testing examines resistance to tipping. Derui’s DR-J701 static-load and DR-J702 stability equipment provide separate starting points for these different tasks.

Table Static Load Tester

How does the table structure respond to the specified load?

Use the static-load equipment direction to apply agreed loads at defined positions and evaluate the tabletop, legs, joints or frame. Specify loading directions, supports and measurements before comparing configurations.

If your procedure also requires cyclic loading or deflection measurement, confirm the supplied controller, fixtures and instruments. These functions should not be assumed from the model name alone.

DR-J702 table stability testing machine with adjustable loading frame

DR-J702

Table Stability Tester

Does the table resist tipping in the required test configuration?

Use the stability equipment direction for the prescribed vertical loading, horizontal force or combined sequence. Confirm the table geometry, adjustments, load locations and method-specific restraints for the evaluation.

A table can withstand a structural load yet tip in another configuration. Stability results do not replace strength, cyclic durability, impact or adjustment-mechanism tests.

Define the Applicable Method and Product Scope

EN 1730 provides structural stability, strength and durability test methods for tables and desks; it does not itself supply the requirements for every end use. Identify the applicable product requirements, standard edition and selected test items before defining the machine setup.

A dining table, office desk, pedestal table or height-adjustable workstation can require different positions, adjustments and assessment criteria. A standard designation is not one universal loading programme, and buying both machines does not automatically complete every required evaluation. The furniture testing requirements guide can help organise the scope.

Confirm additional evaluations separately where they are required, including impact, storage features, adjustment mechanisms or electrical functions. Method references are not equipment certification or proof of complete product compliance; use the controlled procedure and agreed assessment criteria.

Specify the Configuration Before Comparing Quotes

Specimen Geometry

Provide tabletop length, width, height and mass, base or leg layout, and any extension leaves. For adjustable desks, identify the height settings and configurations required by the method.

Loading and Restraints

Specify force direction, loading point, load pad and holding or cycling sequence. Use the selected method to define restraints; supports for strength work should not inadvertently prevent tipping in stability work.

Measurements and Utilities

Agree the force, displacement or observation records required and which instruments are included. Confirm fixture clearance, installed footprint and available power or compressed air before ordering.

Describe both the loading task and the result you need to record. A force capacity does not establish fixture suitability, and a deflection result is not the same result as an overturning observation. Use the equipment calibration checklist to plan the measurement checks relevant to your configuration.
